The European Central Bank has announced that the new €50 Euro note will be introduced next week.
The latest note to come into circulation will apparently be one of the most difficult notes to forge as it will have a number of watermarks and embossed features that will be almost impossible to replicate.
The European Central Bank says the introduction of the new notes comes at crucial time as the number of counterfeit €50 notes in circulation has been increasing over the past number of years.
The new note is the fourth note to be reprinted in recent years after the €5, €10 and €20 notes were introduced as part of major overhaul to cut down on counterfeiting.
