Former Eastenders actor Leslie Grantham is reportedly critically ill in hospital.
According to The Sun newspaper, the actor who is best remembered for playing the role of rogue Queen Vic landlord ‘Dirty’ Den Watts, was taken into hospital after returning to the UK from Bulgaria.
Grantham 71, is said to be gravely ill and is being closely monitored by doctors.
A close friend of the actor told the paper the following: “Leslie is being looked after.”
“Those who are close to him are hugely worried and are praying for his well-being.”
Grantham played the iconic character from the programme’s first episode in 1985 until 1989 and then again from 2003 until 2005, when he was infamously brought back from the dead despite being shot 14 years earlier.
