The former HSE chief Tony O’Brien has launched a scathing attack on the Minister for Health Simon Harris, calling him ‘a frightened little boy.’
Mr O’Brien who was speaking in an in depth interview with The Sunday Business Post, also claimed that Mr Harris was ‘obsessed with media coverage’ and vruns scared of headlines’.
The former HSE chief who stood down from his role last May in wake of the recent CervicalCheck scandal, told the paper that the Health Minister acted like ‘a frightened little’ boy during the recent CervicalCheck scandal.
He also said the HSE’s initial response to the crisis was a ‘trainwreck’, but argued that the controversy was misunderstood and misrepresented.
Mr O’Brien also told The Sunday Business Post that he wouldn’t be surprised if the current hospital trolley crisis will over 1,000 people waiting on trolleys this coming winter.
