Former movie producer Harvey Weinstein has surrendered himself to police in New York, after a number of sexual assault and rape charges were brought against him.
Weinstein who has had more than 70 allegations submitted against also appeared in court, were he surrendered his passport and agreed to wear a tracking monitor.
The movie producer who has been since fired from the company he co-founded also had his legal representatives inform the court that he intends to plead not guilty to the charges brought against him.
It is expected that Weinstein will face trial in the coming months ahead and he has been released on $1m bail.
