The players of AS Roma have paid tribute and showed a great mark of respect to Irish Liverpool fan Sean Cox ahead of tonight’s Champions League semi final second leg clash against Liverpool.
In a show of support for Mr Cox, the players of the Italian giants trained on Tuesday night wearing t-shirts that displayed the message Forza Sean.
The gesture which has been welcomed by fans and Liverpool FC, comes just over a week after Mr Cox, 53, was seriously injured in an unprovoked attack outside Anfield Stadium.
Mr Cox who remains in serious condition in hospital after suffering a major head injury was attacked last Tuesday by two Italian men outside the ground before the first leg encounter between the sides.
