A French fireman has been left in a coma and with permanent brain damage after police shot him in the back of the head at a Yellow Vest protest in the south-western city of Bordeaux.

Olivier Beziade, a father-of-three, was attending a yellow vest protest in the city on his day off last Saturday January 12th.

Beziade, in his 30’s, was walking away from police lines when an officer shot him in the back of the head with a “flash ball” often used by French police to disperse crowds.

Mr Beziade’s wife has said police deliberaly shot her husband who footage shows was not rioting or even part of a large crowd at the time.

The volunteer firefighter is currently in an induced coma suffering from a serious brain injury doctors have said.

The Yellow Vest protests in France have lasted almost 10 weeks now with no end in sight. Originally sparked by President Macron’s attempts to introduce a carbon tax on fuel, they have since evolved into a larger rebellion against the globalist polices crushing the country’s middle class.
