The standoff that seen three people killed at a supermarket in a Southern French town of Trebes has ended with the gunman being short by armed police.
In announcement made in the past hour the French Interior Minister said the following: “The hostage-taker killed three people and we believe he acted alone.”
“He was known for petty crimes. We had monitored him and thought there was no radicalisation.”
It is believed the hostage taker pledged allegiance to ISIS before taking a number of hostages at the supermarket.
