Frightening: Twisted social media “game” sees teenagers recording themselves committing suicide

A twisted social media so-called “game” dubbed “The Suicide Game” has been blamed by police for a large number of teenage suicides in Russia.

Pure madness, the game sees youngsters literally killing themselves while leaving their phone recording the event live on social media.

Two schoolgirls fell to their deaths and one was critically injured in the same week a girl threw herself in front of a train near Moscow.

Yulia Konstantinova, 15, and Veronika Volkova, 16, died last Sunday after they jumped from the roof of a 14 storey apartment block in the industrial Ust-Ilimsk area in Irkutsk Oblast, Siberia while recording the whole tragic event.

Another 15-yr-old girl in  city of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, just 10 blocks off a roof into snow and severely injured herself.

Two days earlier, a 14-year-old girl from Chita was reported to have thrown herself under a commuter train while her friend filmed the whole thing.

The latest deaths come as Russian media claim as many as 130 children committed suicide in the last six months and they claim the teenagers are doing it for social media attention.

Parents have been advised to raise the dangers of the so-called game with their children in an effort to stop the madness.
