Former convicted drugs mule Micahela McCollum has reportedly began filming for a new TV documentary in the UK just a matter of weeks after she was spotted standing in a role queue in Dungannon.

McCollum who was released from prison in March 2016 after serving a three year sentence for drug smuggling in Peru, has apparently agreed to front the new series that will focus on murders in Britain’s toughest prisons.

The Co Tyrone native who came to the world’s attention after being caught along with Melissa Reid trying to smuggle €1.5m worth of cocaine out of the South American country to Spain, has seemingly agreed to front the show which will reportedly air on channel 5 later this year.

According to The Sun McCollum has agreed to front the show and filming has gotten underway this week with the 24 year old seen holding a microphone and standing in front of the cameras outside Walton Jail in Liverpool.

However the TV appearances won’t stop there for the former convicted drugs mule as the Northern Irishwoman has apparently also agreed a six figure deal that will also see her host a programme that will focus on the activities of some of the countries biggest drug dealers.
