Frosty weather predicted for the next few days

hazy

A cold snap has descended upon the country, creating widespread frost, ice and lingering fog in places.

All this will clear gradually as the morning goes on, and today will be mostly dry across northern and eastern areas.

If you’re living in the south or west, however, the sky will be cloudier, and rain will fall on parts of Munster, south Leinster and Atlantic coastal counties.

Wednesday night will be cold and calm, with widespread frost, fog, and ice formation expected.

Tomorrow will be a cold, bright, and mostly dry day, with afternoon temperatures reaching about 7C.
