Bank of Ireland have confirmed that a problem which affected some customers debit cards has now been resolved.
In a statement released on social media that bank said that all debit cards are now operating as normal.
It is understood that a number of Bank of Ireland customers were left in limbo on Thursday as their debit cards were not being accepted at ATM’s and chip and pin devices across the country.
However in a statement the bank said the following: “We’re confirming all of our Visa debit cards are now working normally for all point of sale chip & pin transactions and for withdrawals at all ATM’s.”
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
