Further disruption to air travel as Lufthansa crew strike causes the cancellation of several flights

cancelled

A number of flights to and from Dublin have been cancelled today due to strike action by Lufthansa crews.

The flights in question are: LH979 from Dublin Airport to Frankfurt (12.45pm); LH2515 to Munich (5.30pm) and LH981 to Frankfurt (5.50pm).

Also, several inbound flights have been cancelled: LH978 from Frankfurt (11.40am); LH2514 from Munich (4.40pm); LH980 from Frankfurt (5.10pm) and LH982 from Frankfurt (10.50pm).

The row centres around a dispute between the airline and Germany’s Independent Flight Attendant’s Organization (UFO) over pay and pensions.

The action affects all Lufthansa flights from/to Frankfurt and Dusseldorf between 4.30am and 11pm, and flights from/to Munich between 4.30 and midnight today.

Passengers are advised to check the airline’s website before arriving at the airport.
