Further issues with Lotto machines on Saturday evening

Just hours before the Saturday night draw, terminals at a number of outlets went down, following similar outages in February. Further problems have occurred in the network since.

A spokesperson for National Lottery confirmed that the latest outage lasted 2-3 hours, and that full funcionality was restored by 7:30.

There are no details currently available as to how many machines were affected, but it is understood that some terminals were down around Waterford and Cork.

There was one winner of last night’s draw. The winning ticket was sold at a Tesco store in Drogheda.
