Further snowfall forecast for this week

Met Eireann has predicted that there will be further snow showers across the country over the coming days, stating that northern and Atlantic shores are more likely to see snowfall.

It will remain bitterly cold today and over the next few days, with temperatures barely rising above 6C. Rain showers will hit Ulster and eastern parts of Leinster this afternon.

Tonight will be clear and very cold, with temperatures sinking to about -2C, with wintry showers expected on high ground.

Today’s weather pattern will repeat itself tomorrow and Thursday. Friday is likely to be very sunny but very cold, with temperatures dropping to -5C after nightfall.
