Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that an investigation underway after a man sadly died in a workplace accident this morning.
It is believed the man died after an accident occurred at a distillery outside Midleton at approximately 10am this morning.
Gardai say the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been transferred to Cork University Hospital were a post-mortem examination will take place.
They also say the HSA has officially launched an investigation into the incident.
