Gardai in Dublin have launched an investigation after a 14 year old was taken to hospital following a hit and run incident on Sunday night.
It is believed the young boy is currently in intensive care following the incident which occurred on the Cheeverstown Road in Tallaght, at approximatley 9:30pm on Sunday evening.
Gardai say the teenager was returning home when he was knocked off his bike by a vehicle which then left the scene.
They also say they are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and contact them at Tallaght Garda station.
