Gardaí in North Co Dublin have launched an investigation after a man was shot in the Meakstown area in Thursday night.
The investigation comes after a man sustained a gunshot wound at approximately 8.30pm on Thursday evening.
It is understood the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Gardaí in Finglas, say they are currently searching for a man who carried out the shooting.
