Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after a teenager was seriously injured following an incident in Ballymun on Friday evening.
It is understood that a 15-year-old was seriously injured after he received a number of slash wounds to his face following an altercation with another boy who was in possession of a knife.
Officers investigating the incident say the incident which resulted in the boy needing treatment at Temple Street Children’s Hospital, occurred in Balcurris Gardens at approximately 6:30pm on Friday evening.
Gardaí say no arrests have yet been made but investigations are currently ongoing.
