Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a dead newborn inside the bathroom of a GP’s office in Waterford.
It is understood that a woman visited an out-of-hours GP in Waterford. While in the bathroom, she delivered the baby on her own. She was rushed to hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.
The baby was declared dead at the scene.
