There is growing outcry at the destruction of Pro-life referendum posters, which is taking place on an alarming scale across the country.
A garda investigation is underway in Waterford where posters have been particularly vandalised and discarded.
Despite this being a criminal offence and with some people brazenly admitting on social media platforms that they are destroying legally displayed Pro-Life posters, it has garnered little attention from the Gardai or the media.
This kind of activity is very worrying for Irish democracy and is another example of those supporting the pro-abortion campaign attempting to bully and silence those intent on keeping the protection of unborn babies enshrined in the constitution.
Others have taken to social media to pose the rhetorical question that if this were the other way around and pro-life activists were destroying Repeal the Eight posters would the media be so silent and authorities inactive?
