Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after two women were injured during two attempted carjackings at St James’s Hospital.
The investigation comes after two women were approached in the underground car park on Sunday evening.
It is believed the man approached one of the women at approximatley 6:20pm and demanded the keys to her car.
However as her would not start he fled the scene immediately.
Following his first attempt the man then approached another woman who was placing her 5-year-old child in the back of the car.
It is believed that a struggle broke out between the man and the woman as she tried to remove her child from the car after the man demanded she handed over her keys.
Gardai say the woman was knocked to the ground before the man fled the scene in the car.
They say the woman suffered minor injuries to both her hand and knee.
It is understood her car was later found burned out on Bonham Street in Dublin 8, a short time later.
