A member of gardai has been suspended and a garda station has been searched as part of a major investigation into the use of bogus insurance certificates.
A total of 16 houses and a garda station in Co Limerick have been searched over the past 48 hours as part of the investigation.
Phones, personal belongings including documents, computers, laptops and two cars have all been seized by gardai as part of the search.
The investigation is being run by officers from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
No arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing.
