Gardai appeal for social media sharing of missing Meath man Gilbert Fitzpatrick who went missing in Co Kerry

Gardaí in Co Kerry have issued an appeal to the public for their assistance in order to help trace the whereabouts of missing Meath man Gilbert Fitzpatrick.

Mr Fitzpatrick aged 59, from Navan in Co Meath, has become the subject of a nationwide appeal after he went missing in Kilarney Co Kerry last Saturday.

Gardaí say Mr Fitzpatrick had been on holiday in Tralee for the week and it is understood he travelled to Killarney on Saturday on Saturday morning.

Gardaí say Mr Fitzpatrick went walking in The Gap of Dunloe area on Saturday morning at approximately 11am, but he failed to return to his accommodation and was reported missing on Sunday.

Mr Fitzpatrick is described as being 5’5″ in height, of slight build, with dark hair.

When he was last seen Mr Fitzpatrick was wearing a light blue short-sleeved shirt, navy trousers, black shoes and was carrying a rain jacket.
