Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed this evening that a man aged in his 20s has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault that took place last month.
Gardaí say the arrest comes after the alleged attack occurred in Blanchardstown in the early hours of the 18th of December. It is believed the incident occurred at approximately 4am, when the woman had got off a Nitelink bus on Littlepace Road.
The woman was subsequently attacked whilst walking home when the man approached her.
Thankfully the woman managed to fend off her attacker and raise the alarm by flagging down a passing Taxi.
