Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed that they have arrested a in connection with an attack on a woman in Lucan this afternoon.
The incident which occurred on Hillcrest Road at 1pm, apparently seen the woman approached by the man whilst she was driving.
It is understood the man aged in his 30s approached the woman and threatened her with a knife and took the keys of her car.
Although thankfully the woman was not injured, it is believed the man fled the scene with the car keys.
However he was arrested a short time later after the Gardaí found him a short distance away from the scene of the incident.
Gardai say he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of The Criminal Act 1984 at Ronanstown Garda Station.
