Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after a man was found unconscious in Clonliffe Avenue in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the 24-year-old man was found unconscious at approximately 4.15am.
Gardai say he received a number of injuries that leads them to believe he was the victim of an assault.
The young man is currently being treated for his injuries at Beaumont Hospital.
