Gardai have launched an investigation into a discovery of migrants trapped in the back of a 40 foot containter at 5:20pm yesterday afternoon in Co. Laois.
It’s understood that the truck driver pulled over on the N80 near Stradbally and rang gardaí after he heard noises coming from the back of the lorry.
On opening the container, gardaí found three men and two women, all in their 30s, and one child all of whom have been taken to hospital.
It’s not yet revealed where the 6 people have come from but one source claims it was Africa.
