Gardai in Co Kerry have confirmed that further tests are required in order to establish the cause of death to a 32 week old stillborn baby.
According to RTE News, results of further testing on the stillborn baby’s remains will take a number of weeks.
The news comes after a woman aged in her 30s, presented at University Hospital Kerry with injuries following an alleged assault at a premises in Listowel over the weekend.
Following the incident Gardai arrested a man aged in his 20s in connection with the incident, however Gardai have since confirmed that he has been released without charge and a file is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
