Gardaí in Co Kildare have launched a major investigation after a body was discovered in a container in Kildare’s Grand Canal.
Gardaí say they believe the death of the individual is highly suspicious due to the fact the body was discovered in an unusual position, a position that would be virtually impossible to get into by themselves. It has not yet been confirmed if the body is that of a man or a woman.
The body was discovered at Ardclough Village, which is located between Naas and Celbridge, at around 3.30am this morning.
