Gardaí in Co Longford have arrested a man in connection with the abduction a mother of four in Edgeworthstown yesterday afternoon.
The woman believed to be in her 20’s was abducted at approximately 4pm when she was taken from her home in front of her four children, it is also understood three other people were present at the time of the abduction but thankfully no one was injured during the incident.
Gardaí confirmed the arrest after a major search operation was launched yesterday evening which lasted until this morning when they found the woman at a safe location. Gardaí say they have detained a man in his mid-20’s and he is currently being questioned in connection with the incident.
