Gardai in Cork City have confirmed that they have arrested a 25 year old man in connection with the discovery of man’s body in the city earlier today.
The arrest comes after a 66 year old man was found dead at his home in Douglas early this morning.
Officers investigating the incident say the man was arrested this afternoon and he is currently being questioned at Togher Garda Station.
Gardai say the man can be held for up to 24 hours for questioning.
It is believed that man was arrested after the 66 year old man was found dead by his wife at his home at around 8am this morning.
According to RTE News, Gardai investigating the incident are conducting a number of enquiries and it is reported that there were signs of a break in at the man’s home.
