Gardaí in Drogheda Co Louth have evacuated between 30 and 40 people following the discovery of a suspect device at a pub in the town.
It is understood the evacuation comes after Gardai were called into investigate after the device was discovered in the toilets of a pub on the Chord Road area of the town.
In the past hour a garda spokesperson has confirmed that the Army Bomb Disposal Team will attend and inspect the scene.
Gardai say the scene remains cordoned off as a precautionary measure.
