Gardai in Galway appeal for information after a 12-yr-old boy suffers a head injury during a hit and run incident




Gardai in Galway are appealing for witnesses after a 12 year old boy was the victim of a hit and run incident on Sunday evening.

According to Galway Bay FM the young boy who suffered a head injury in the incident, was knocked off his bike after he was struck by a vehicle at a pedestrian crossing in Briarhil at approximatley 7pm.

Gardai say they are searching for a woman who has bond hair, they also say the woman who was driving a silver Opel Corsa, stopped the vehicle to check on the boy before driving off in the direction of Old Monivea Road.

It is understood the boy required treatment at University Hospital Galway, Gardai are urging anyone with any information to contact them at Oranmore Garda Station on 091 38 80 30.
