Gardai have arrested three men who were allegedly on their way to carry out a heist on a cash-in-transit vehicle.
It is understood that at least one of the suspects was wearing a full body armor, which led Gardai to think that the gang were prepared for an armed confrontation.
Armed Gardai intercepted the gang’s vehicle in Meath earlier today. The three suspects were arrested at the scene and taken to Finglas Garda Station.
The cash-in-transit van was carrying in the region of €200,000.
