According to reports, a petrol bomb was thrown into the living room of a house, and a car was later set alight at the same location.
The petrol bomb attack occurred at the Drive Riverbank area. The device was thrown into the living room of a private residence. The fire was put out quickly, but caused extensive damage to the room.
Later on in the night, Gardai were called again to the same address after reports of a vehicle on fire.
Drogheda has been plagued by gangland activity in recent weeks, as two rival gangs appear to be engaged in an ongoing conflict. At least four people have been arrested in connection with this ongoing feud.
