Gardai have launched an investigation after a 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in Mallow, Co. Cork, on Thursday evening.
It is understood that the stabbing followed a brief altercation on Bridge Street. The victim died at the scene.
Witnesses say that the attacker fled on foot.
