Gardai in Dublin have confirmed this afternoon that a man has been arrested in connection with Ethernet Ialleged sexual assault of a woman in the city centre on Monday night.
According to reports the man who is currently being detained at Store Street Garda station was arrested after Gardai were immediately alerted to the incident which was occurring at Parnell Place on Monday night (Tuesday morning) at approximately 3am.
It is understood Gardai quickly arrested the man after a concerned member of the public witnessed the attack taking place.
Gardai say the woman who is aged in her 30s, was quickly taken to a Sexual Assault Treatment Unit at the Rotunda Hospital.
They also say an investigation into the attack is currently ongoing.
