Gardai in Dublin have begun an investigation after a man aged in his 30s was seriously injured in road traffic incident on Monday evening.
It is understood the 31-year-old man was struck by a car on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin at approximately 8.15pm.
Gardaí say the injured man was taken to Tallaght Hospital with a number of serious injuries.
They are now appealing to anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed the collision to contact them immediately.
