Gardaí in Dublin have launched a murder investigation this morning after a 35-year-old man was shot dead in a gangland attack in Dublin last night.
It is understood the man who was known to Gardaí and currently bail for gun offences died at the scene of the incident which happened at Wheatfield Avenue in Clondalkin at approximately 9.30pm.
According to reports the victim received a number of fatal wounds after the gunman fired up to five shots.
Gardaí say they are treating the killing as a drugs or gun related issue, but they say it is not connected to the ongoing Hutch-Kinahan feud.
