Gardaí and police in the UK are monitoring ports in order to trace wanted in connection with the death of a woman in West Bromwich.

The widespread manhunt for Michael Foran, who comes after the body of his partner 33-year-old June Jones, was found in her flat in Wyndmill Crescent at approximately 2am on December 31.

It is understood that Mr Foran has become a person of interest to the West Midlands police service.

Police say they believe Foran may have travelled to Liverpool in order to catch a ferry to Ireland as he has family connections in Co Waterford.

Ms Jones was the subject of a police appeal after her family reported her missing on St Stephen’s Day.

Although the exact cause of Ms Jones death has yet to be determined, police say that she was beaten with a weapon.

Detectives investigating the case also say the public should not approach Foran as he is highly dangerous, but they should instead call 999 or 112 and inform police or the Gardai.
