Gardaí prepare to mount major security operation for Hutch funeral tomorrow as fears of more retaliations grow




Gardaí are set to mount a significant security operation to prevent any further bloodshed on the streets of Dublin during the funeral of latest fatal gangland victim Derek ‘Del Boy’ Hutch.

Mr. Hutch was shot and killed at Bridgeview halting site near Cloverhill Road, Dublin. Gardaí have confirmed a link to the ongoing Hutch-Kinihan feud which has claimed 14 lives so far.

The funeral is set to take place on Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes church in North side of Dublin’s city centre.

On Friday, 26th of January Graham ‘Choco’ Byrne, an associate of the Kinihan cartel was shot and wounded outside the national boxing arena while an innocent bystander, a student from UK was also injured in the gun attack.

Both men did not suffer life threatening injuries.

Tensions have since reached fever pitch in the city and Gardaí more attacks may be imminent.
