Gardaí reissue appeal of social media sharing of Wicklow man Barry Corcoran who went missing over a year ago

Gardaí in Wicklow have reissued an appeal for information regarding the disappearance of missing man Barry Corcoran who has not been seen since a year ago.

Mr Corcoran aged 39 reportedly left his home in Wicklow town on the morning of July 6th, 2015, and went to the post office on Main Street at approximately 9.35am. Gardaí say Mr Corcoran then travelled to Dublin via a Bus Eireann bus, before heading to a gym in the Fitzgibbon Street area.

It is then believed Mr Corcoran travelled on the Luas red line out as far as the Kylemore stop on the Naas Road, arriving thereat around 2pm. He made some purchases in a local shop on Kylemore Road at 2.30pm and again at 6.45pm.

Mr Corcoran then reportedly visited friends on Cremona Road, Ballyfermot, on the evening and night of July 6th. He was last sighted there that night, and his family and friends have not heard from him since.

Mr Corcoran is described as being 5ft11, of thin build, with short grey hair and blue eyes. He is described as walking with a slight shuffle having injured his hip in an accident a number of years ago. He also has an old scar on the bridge of his nose.

When he was last seen, Mr Corcoran was wearing a dark rain jacket, blue jeans and black Puma runners.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have seen or been in contact with Mr Corcoran on July 6th, 2015, or at any time after that, to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 666 7200.
