The baby girl found abandoned in Rathcoole, Dublin, yesterday afternoon is estimated to have been 24-36 hours old at the time of the discovery. A medical assessment found that she had been fed and nourished up to that point.
The baby remains in a stable condition, and is being cared for by hospital staff.
Gardai have renewed their appeal for the baby’s mother to come forward.
