Gardaí say they hope to make full use of a break in bad weather in the search for missing student Michael Bugler

Gardaí in Galway have said they fully intend to take advantage of a break in the bad weather to make a concerted search over the coming days for missing student Michael Bugler.

Mr Bugler aged 20, a law student at NUI Galway (NUIG) from Co Clare, has not been seen since Friday the 18th December when he was out celebrating with friends in Galway city centre.

The latest search will also include efforts from the Irish Coast Guard, RNLI lifeboat crews and Civil Defence as they will search Galway Bay. Meanwhile Inspector Kevin Gately of the Galway Gardaí, said he expects a large turnout in the search for Michael, he also paid tribute to the hundreds of volunteers who have assisted in the search over the past two weeks.

Mr Bugler is described as 5’9” in height, of thin build with short brown hair and blue eyes.
