Gardaí in South Dublin have confirmed they have setup an incident room after a woman was sexually assaulted in Killiney.
The dedicated incident room has been setup after a number of attacks on women have occurred in recent weeks.
The latest attack which seen a woman sexually assaulted occurred at Bayview, in the Killiney/Shankhill south Co Dublin area on Monday evening. Gardaí say the incident occurred at approximately 17.45pm.
It believed the victim of the latest attack was assaulted after a man approached her as she was walking in th Bayview area. A Garda source has since revealed the woman managed to raise the alarm with passersby after the incident, before she was quickly taken to hospital.
Gardaí say the woman was badly shaken up after the sexual assault and required urgent treatment.
