People attending this weekend’s have been advised by Gardaí to use public transport if at all possible.
The call, comes after Gardaí addressed to “patrons attending Electric Picnic”, was posted to the Garda Síochána Twitter.
The festival which is expected to see 50,000 attendants, has led to the Gardaí issuing the plea as they claim there would be an awful lot of traffic for Stradbally to handle if everybody drove down in their own car at once.
Gardaí are urging festival goers to check the Bus Eireann website first available buses.
