It could be a time for a return to Club Tropicana, if reports about a Wham! reunion are to be believed. One half of the iconic 80s pop duo has been dropping a lot of hints in recent interviews.
George Michael seems to feel that it was a mistake “splitting Wham!”, the group he formed with Andrew Ridgeley way back in 1981. When the split finally came in 1986, they had left us with lasting hits like Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and I’m Your Man.
In these days of constant reunions, the demand for a return to the concerts arena for Wham! would be high and you can just imagine the clamour for tickets. George Michael has had a successful solo career since the band split, but he has been very quiet of late, having had a tough few years involving various personal issues.
In 2011 he suffered from pneumonia when his condition became so severe he required a tracheotomy. In 2013 he was airlifted to hospital after sustaining injuries after a fall from a moving car.
No doubt his many fans will be hoping that a reunion might be just what the doctor ordered to put him back on centre stage.
