Ireland is currently experiencing one of the hottest and driest summers in decades, and it shows no signs of changing anytime soon.
Today’s forecast suggests that the dry and hot conditions could go possibly another 7 to 10 days, and possibly beyond.
In the meantime anyway, this weekend is expected to be hot with pretty much sunshine from dawn to dusk, and temperatures of up to 29C.
People are advised to ensure that they use sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and keep babies in the shade and that children wear factor 30+ sunscreen.
