Daytime temperatures are likely to remain in single figures throughout the day tomorrow, and sink to subzero overnight. It will remain bitterly cold on Saturday, with the mercury barely rising over 3C.
The sinking temperatures are due to a change in wind direction, from southerly to a north-north-western heading.
