Christmas is just around the corner and as you may noticed shops and supermarkets across the country have already begun to introduce their Christmas stock which contains the rather usual treats to gorge on over the festive period.
But now it seems one the country’s biggest supermarket chains Aldi has seemingly kicked things up a notch by introducing something rather different that will surely have gin and food lovers looking on in anticipation.
The German giant who generally cater for everything this Christmas has seemingly grown bored and re-invented the traditional mince pie that will included a rather different ingredient name gin.
It is believed the supermarket giant is hoping to start a new trend this Christmas that will see the standard mince pie been given an extra kick with the popular liquor thrown on top.
Aldi say the popular after dinner pies will come with all the traditional toppings included dried almonds on top.
They also say the mince pies will come in packs of six, and will be sold in all it stores from November 14th from as little as €2.70.
